What is the first game you remember watching on TV, seeing live or hearing on the radio?

Mine was the Super Bowl the year the Boys beat the Steelers.

The first game I remember actually sitting down and watching was on January 17, 1971. It was Super Bowl V, pitting the Dallas Cowboys against the Baltimore Colts. The Colts won it 16-13, with Jim O'Brien kicking the game-winning 32-yard field goal with 5 seconds remaining. It would've been a sad moment, but at that time I was a Colts fan..... I didn't start being a Cowboy fan until the next season, of which the Cowboys went on and won Super Bowl VI against Miami 24-3. That Cowboy team had Roger "The Dodger" Staubach as QB, with Duane Thomas and Walt Garrison in the backfield.

My family never watched sports growing up, so the first one I remember was Super Bowl XXVII when they went to a party at a local theater to watch the game with some friends.

The first game that I remember was the Cowboys and Redskins on Thanksgiving. The Cowboys made a frantic comeback to win in the closing seconds. I want to say that it was 1975...maybe 1976.

It was the Super Bowl XXIII with the Niners and the Bengals. Me, my dad, and my neighbor were watching the game while all of the ladies were playing bingo.

I remember a few late 80's Danny White era Cowboys games on tv...but didn't really get interested until the Aikman/Irvin/Smith/Novacek years shortly after. Also the first Superbowl I really cared about was the first Boys vs Bills.

Ditto! And he was throwing bombs to Bullet Bob Hayes, the fastest man alive.
But Dandy Don was much better on Monday Night Football. Especially when giving Howard Cosell a hard time. I used to LMAO when he'd get ol Howard all flustered.

While I remember watching it (mostly under protest) throughout my childhood, I didn't start watching and understanding the game until the late 80s. I don't remember the first game I watched, but the first one that sticks out was a Dallas postseason loss. Troy Aikman had been out for several weeks with a concussion, and Steve Beuerline had been a very good replacement. We'd already won one game in the playoffs, then went to Detroit where we got beat. Soundly. Jimmy put Troy in in the second half, but it was too little, too late. The Boys' heads were hanging at the end of that game, and some were shedding tears. And I might even have shed a few too. This game at Minnesota reminded me of that feeling vividly.

The game I remember watching live was a Thanksgiving game around that time. We were hosting....someone. Troy was out, and the second string went out--can't remember who it was, but I don't think it was Beuerline--and Jason Garrett came in and won the game. It was AWESOME. Went with a friend from NY to the Hard Rock in Dallas not long after, and Jason Garrett was there. By the time his meal was over, there was a string of people waiting on autographs. I explained who Garrett was to the NY friend, and he was absolutely bemused that a third string quarterback would generate that much attention. I tried to explain that this was Cowboys country, but I'm not sure he ever got it. Not sure you can if you don't live here. :)

First game I remember was the Bills/Giants Superbowl. But I remember bits and pieces of Dolphins and Chargers games as a youth. I still remember some game... I want to say the 'Fins were playing the Jets... where both the Marks bros went over 150 yards and Marino also finished with a ton of yards. It was back in the late-80's and it was the first game I can remember being a Dolphins fan... but don't remember much about the game itself.

Don't know if I was a Dolphins fan before that (I was also a Chargers fan growing up), but I know I was after it.

Yes, Dec. 28, 1969 at the Cotton Bowl.....Cleveland 38 Dallas 14. If I'm not mistaken, Leroy Kelly ran all over them that day
