Football is not a waste of time, but I did count 9 commercial breaks in the first quarter of the Cardinals-Saints game alone. That was annoying

I enjoy football but the article may have a point. I remember in the mid 70s I read a book by Coach Paul "Bear" Bryant called "The Bad Times and Good Times of Alabama Coach Paul Bryant" or something like that but in his book he pointed out that defensive starters play only about 3 minutes or so in each game. I don't have my copy handy but maybe someone can help with the information and name of the book if I got it wrong.
