Navasota led 29-25 @ Halftime. Madisonville takes sole possesion of first place. Navasota sits in second followed by Bryan Rudder in third with 2 district losses.

game was never closer than 10 from early on. Packed house, over 2000, watching the boys LE has led most of the way. 36-33 LE at the half.

Dang. Well, Madisonville has been playing good ball, they have to play Rudder and Navasota again, Navasota at the Snake Pit for sure. If the girls can beat Rudder on the road, first is not out of reach again.

Fairfield Lady Eagles beat Athens and Fresno St signee Alex Furr 66-56 tonight. We held her to 20 I haven't seen her score less that 40 in the 7 or 8 box scores I have seen of their games this year.

Should be a good one come Feb 9th at the Pit. If Navasota can beat Rudder in Bryan, the Lady Rattlers can tie up the Lady Mustangs for first.

Just got word that the boys have gone into OT with the Mustangs.:eek:

The guy I replaced is at athens, I talked to worley a little this week..got some grandview film from him...Everyone of our tough games the first time through is on the road so if i win friday were gonna be in pretty good shape with a home game and a chance to tie for the district lead

Sweeny was down 13 - 3 after 1st QTR

This was the district opener.

Sweeny improves to 17 - 2

Their two loses were to 5A Fort Bend Elkins and McAllen Nikki Rowe 50-48.
