I don't know that I have ever been involved in a thread that was closed.

Not as bad as the spittle coming from one's mouth saying "TSK TSK TSK TSK!"

But then again WOS87 posted: "tsk tsk tsk tsk" so the spit flinging would be at a minimum.:)

If you obey the rules, threads don't get closed. You have only yourselves to blame for accumulating warning points.

When warned, you should get a pm or email from the board. That info is in there. You can also ask a moderator. 6 points total results in an automatic 7 day suspension. They are supposed to automatically go away after a year from the last warning (provided no further violations occur in that time period). The warning system is a custom script written into the software. Admins can adjust manually if there are problems with it. There have been a couple of strange circumstances where we've had to.

Posters who have been suspended/ejected previously are definitely on a short leash when/if they come back. Any violation can get them sent away without further warnings. We have no intentions of fighting the same battles over and over with the same people.

Not necessarily, sometimes we forget to include them. At some point down the road, I want to get that part automatic also. For now, the overall system works pretty well.

A mod can close any thread for any reason they see fit.

No...a mod cannot ban or un-ban them self.

I read somewhere that for overall good health and well-being that a person needs to laugh out loud a collective 10 minutes a day. This site provides me with all the belly laughs I need to meet my daily quota. Gotta luv it!!:D :D
