Anyone headed to Austin this weekend?

State officials meetings begin in the morning in austin. we are expecting 550-600 officials this year. due for the most part to the UIL and TASO talks. The two are having a meeting tonight to attempt to come to some sort of agreement, but what ive been told is that the latest news on the whole thing will come saturday morning. The TASO lawyer will be in attendance as well as guest speaker Jim Evans. Gonna be a great turnout.

the annual TASO meetings will be held tomorrow and saturday downtown austin for baseball. we are expecting a much larger crowd than usual this year because of the TASO and UIL talks.
also, this from the TASO website

This is the most recent development in the lawsuit TASO filed in December 2009 against the UIL.

Please communicate to your members that the court has temporarily enjoined the UIL from attempting to enforce the changes to Rule 1204, and has temporarily enjoined the UIL from signing up TASO members, or taking any money from TASO members. Inform people that they should let you know immediately if the UIL does anything that violates this order.


i take it that this means that the UIL must stop contacting chapters urging them to disband from taso and join the uil. also the uil was attempting to begin enforcing there new "rules" about having to be a UIL official immediately instead of waiting until next year. Most see this is a direct shot at baseball officials since we seem to be the ones to have brought about the most fight against the UIL and having to be UIL certified.

I was just somewhat shocked you would not know what TASO stands for or couldnt grasp the meaning from everything i mentioned. Just assumed that with the almost 3100 posts that you knew what TASO meant. I figured you were just pulling my leg.
