I like what this gives the Rangers:

If Vlad can stay healthy enough to play in 150 games he makes the Rangers lineup MUCH better. Of course, the other guy we need to stay healthy is Josh Hamilton. We need him to be in the field for 150+ too and if we get that, this may be the most potent Rangers lineup in some time (and that is saying something). As usual, pitching will tell the tale.

Vlad has traditionally killed the ball in Arlington. He's more of a DH type player at this point in his career but I would think he and Hammy could rotate to help keep each other healthy. I'm upset that they couldn't hang on to Marlon Byrd just because he was so valuable in being able to play anywhere, he was their utility outfielder and best pinch hitter if he wasn't in the game. Oh well, guess we can't have it all. Rangers looking pretty solid right now. Young pitchers need to continue to develop and catchers need to get healthy, but once again I look forward to watching this Ranger team and hope they don't leave me empty come September.

Think of all the game changing hits he had against the rangers. Just seeing him leave the angels helps the rangers and then you add the fact that he is a ranger thats just icing on the cake.

LOL, yeah, with Lackey going to my sox and Vlad going to Arlington, you gotta feel better about the Ranger's chance against the Halos.
