Carroll has one of the best coaching gigs in the country at any level where he is now. I guess the main reason to consider leaving is if you think U$C is going to be slapped around with sanctions for lack of institutional control over Reggie Bush, O. J. Mayo and others.

they said hes interested bc he would also be the gm and would be able to pretty much do and get what he wants at the NFL level

I can see that, I guess. Plus Carroll would be able to work for a team that can openly admit to having players that get paid...

No recruiting, no study hall, no NCAA, paid workers that have a job or get fired, top of the line as far as coaching. Why not???

And then that would open the door for USC to hire the mad Pirate, Mike Leach....

I disagree. If the USC job becomes open, I figure Nick Saban will get it.

Why would Saban leave Alabama?

you don't think he is making enough already, plus I would think he would be inline for a raise now.

Oh and Brad McCoy should coach the USC Trojans....they would win because he would proclaim his name out loud forcing all to fear him and forfeit...or something like that Idk :nerd:

no surpise that he is interested. I have heard for years that he wants to prove to everyone that he can coach in the NFL and is better than his record suggests

Any chance Mike "Butt Pirate" Leach gets the USC job after Carroll abandons ship?

Carroll leaving could possibly be a sign of the NCAA trouble heading down the pipe.

It's the old practice of the captain abandons the sinking ship while the first life boat is being lowered.

This could possibly open a job for Leach, but as another team's coach as this has the ability to create numerous coaching changes.

I think the NCAA is about to drop the hammer on USC football. Their basketball program just received sanctions for the whole OJ Mayo fiasco.

Mike Leach has no chance of going to USC.

Would love to see him end up at USF though. Imagine the recruits he could get out of Florida that don't get to go to Miami or UF. He could own the Big East in just a few years.

Everybody is saying this is a done deal and that Carroll could be announced as coach by tonight.

That will be a shocker.:D
