Charlie Weis...i know alot of you dont like him but this is where he belongs and i think he will be successful at this position

Im really shocked he went after this job conisdering his head coach is an offensive guy. i REALLY thought hed end up in Chicago with Lovie

does KC have a long term QB? if not dont be suprised to see them try to get Clausen with the 5th pick

I agree, I thought he would go to Chicago. In Chicago you have a defensive minded HC who would let Charlie run the offense with no questions asked. In KC you have a former OC and I can just see there being friction somewhere down the line

How long was Cassel with New England?

Did Weis work with him before?

They just missed each other. Weis went to Notre Dame in 2005 the same year Cassel joined New England.

well, in that case, I suppose he could go for Clausen, but I can't imagine that Haley and the Chiefs front office would want to give up on a player that they deemed the franchise QB only a year ago.

Weiss, I thought, was the one of the ones that created the "New England" offensive system. I can see how he could be successful because Cassell flourished in that system. I don't know if it was a smart move on the front offices part because you have 2 offensive minded guys and especially one in a head coach that fired his OC during the 1st week of pre-season of last year.

Plus, he has a house in South Bend which is maybe an hour or so from Chicago.
