It wouldn't surprise me.

I kind of wish I could have a game broadcast by Spock from Star Trek so no emotion would be involved; just tell me what happened and provide some analysis.

if it's people saying good things about one of the best college football players to ever play the game that bothers you, perhaps you could tune into the Cincinatti radio broadcast. I'm sure you can find it some where on the internet.

Hmm. Not a bad idea. For me it has nothing to do with Tebow rather it has everything to do with hype in general.

The broadcast will likely be delayed so you'd have to adjust your tivo accordingly

Don't want to make any snap judgments, but on the basis of what I have seen so far, Cincy can't play with FLA---they are purely just getting out-athleticed (if there is such a word). There IS a talent diff between the smaller schools and the major programs, although I feel TCU could have matched up with FLA and held their own.

This is a great example of why a playoff is needed, this could have been a quarter-final game, two weeks ago. Just because you go 12-0 does not give you the right to play in a BCS bowl. Cincy was one second from play Bama in the national champship game. Maybe the bowl games tomorrow will be more competitive.

And to think that if that second hadn't happened that Cincy would have been playing Bama for the NC istead of TCU. Good Grief. This proves we need a playoff.

Cincy may be "overrated", but they did manage to go out this season and win 12 games against teams that, while not great, were still quality opponents.

That said, Texas would beat Cincy too. The score would be closer, but it would be a sound Longhorn win. Bama would destroy them too, probably in a closer game that the Tide completely controlled defensively. Texas, Alabama, and Florida are a major step ahead of the rest of the FBS schools right now. TCU and Boise could be close to that level, but with them playing each other we won't really know. But anyway, I do think Bama is a slight but better than Texas and Florida. The Gators might be better than Texas as well, but we won't be able to find that out.

lvbears32
01-02-2010, 03:16 AM

I remember several years ago one of the networks did an NFL game with no sound. I want to say NBC did the game but not sure. Don't think it was ever tried again. Maybe they just did the game without announcers and could hear the live sounds from stadium...
