If Padilla said the sky was blue on a hot day in June you better go check to make sure. He's kind of like Farmersfan, wrong way more than he's right :D

If Cameron ends up in the district Padilla projected then we would have the longest road trips=

2a Division 1 Mileage:
INGRAM- 186
COMFORT- 176
BLANCO- 125
LAGO VISTA- 83
FLORENCE- 63
ACADEMY- 30

I really dont see this happening but who knows at this point.

What I found interesting in all this is this info,

"To get 32 six-team districts, Padilla projects the Class 3A floor at 433. That would be a 2.37-to-1 ratio of smallest to largest, if the ceiling is set at 1,035.

That ratio well exceeds the 2-to-1 goal of UIL. Class 3A is the only classification -- excluding uncapped 5A -- that has never been under the 2-to-1 ratio in the past 30 years. The ceiling-to-floor ratio in Class 3A has continually been the highest of any classification during that time.

The lowest 3A ratio since 1976 was 2.26-to-1 in 1998. The highest was 2.61-to-1 in 2002. In 2008, the ratio was 2.28-to-1."

The big question for me is, will the UIL fill all 32 districts this year in 3A? If yes then my Jackets will be 3A, if no then we will stay 4A. Padilla's projections on which district, teams will be in is fun to look at and nothing more. His cutoff number projections is what interest me. If one could attain the majority of enrollment numbers like he has then you could come up with a pretty close projection within the framework the UIL has set forth.

What I found interesting is that Snook and Ponder, long-time powerhouses in basketball, will finally be adding football. :)

Could Port Aransas be far behind?

I would like to see Decatur, Bridgeport, Springtown and Vernon along with Mineral Wells and Glen Rose but get rid of Burk and Iowa Park

Considering My Mineral Wells Rams beat 3 of those teams this year...I could live with that!!! As we bring back our QB, RB, TE, and a few more...

I like this except for the possiblity of having to scout Lakeview in San Angelo or somewhere further than that.

Burleson (2,053)
Cleburne
Crowley
Granbury (2,047)
Joshua
San Ang. Lake View (1,197)

2-3A would be replacing Breckenridge with Big Spring - Yikes!

Abilene Wylie
Big Spring
Snyder
Graham
Sweetwater
Brownwood

So Padilla has District 25 (moved to Region IV) and east of District 24 (moved to Region III). In fact, doesn't his District 24 run all the way to the coast completely separating District 25 from the rest of Region IV???? Does that make ANY sense???

Did a quick search and didn't find a map of the regions/districts. If someone has that info, could you please post a link for us "multi-sensory" types?:D :D

Well based on the information out that the UIL does want to eliminate the bye districts, padilla may actually be close. IF the UIL is going to do that the numbers have to work out something like what Padilla has listed.

Dern!!! Hope Padilla is wrong with Yoakum's (448) projected placement. Wow. El Campo (998) has 550 more kids than us. Wow!!!

If you are talking about the number it could easily be wrong. The number he had for us was 4 off 425 which was actually 421 officially.
