In a take-off of the Dallas/NO thread, how about everyone look at the starting QB list below, and give their opinions on who they would rather have start for their teams as of today, 12/23/09. No look to the far future, no results of the past, for this season/next season only. No hating on anyone, just quick opinions.

I have Romo favored 18 times, Incumbents 11, and 3 pushes/ no huge difference b/t them.

There are several that may be better, but I Tony is who the Cowboys have. The main thing that will help him is having more than just Whitten across the middle or the deep ball to Owens. This year he has multipe options and they actually have a mid range passing game. Like I said on other thread; take your pick they either are winning with or in spite of Romo, but if they can win these last 2.... I will leave it at that :D

"...across the middle or deep ball ...", "... multiple options ...", "... mid range passing game ..." ---- made me think about the Buckeyes

I just tried it and it was pretty similar

Romo 20 times
5 pushes
7 incumbents

I'm guessing we may have differed on guys like Flacco or Ryan, but if we're talking about the present, I've got Romo ahead of both of them right now, and I also put Eli Manning below him although I know many will put Manning above Romo just due to the ring.

I'm thinking a lot of you guys are basing your opinion on the teams that these QBs are playing for the same as you are basing your opinion of Romo.

If you simply consider the talent involved many of the QBs that you would NOT pick ahead of Romo would play much better football on a team like Dallas.

I find only about 8 that I would NEVER want ahead of Romo and perhaps 10 that would be up in the air. That makes about 14 that I think are better than Romo is.

You keep talking about the talent around Romo. Where is it? How many of Dallas' starters would start for another team? Whitten, maybe Austin. That's about all.

I'd take Romo 21 times
6 pushes
5 times I take the other guy

How can anyone take Cutler over Romo guy is terrible. You can't really say this because every QB fits their own teams situation. I would take Favre over Romo to play for Minnesota because their style of play fits more to his style but I would never take Favre over Romo to be Dallas's QB.

If Romo wasnt in Dallas we would for sure have been saved from all the drama..... and also mediocre at best play by this guy...That star on the helmet makes people/fans think and do wierds things.

I saw something like this on Mike and Mike around Thanksgiving... They did not put very many present QB's before Romo.... he sure takes a lot of crap to be one of the Top 10 or 15 QB's in the nation..

As for me, I am a homer.. I take Romo over all of them except Payton Manning.... Manning is the real deal year in and year out, Other than that, I dance with the one that brung me!

What is your solution then? Instead of just saying get rid of Romo and we will instantly win a super bowl, give a solution.

Solution..Quick simple, and very painless...just support a different team and leave the perinial blown up, media overhyped team and Qb behind you...

And even if Dallas does get rid of Romo.... I see no superbowl in those girls future.
