A&M Loses Best Overall Defensive Player in Big 12 Basketball

Senior Derrick Roland has gone out with some sort of serious leg injury during the game against Washington tonight. He was noted as being the best defender in the Big 12 conference this year.

That is bad news. I am a UT fan but I really hate injuries to happen to anyone in any sport especially when it hurts their career. Hopefully he will recover and be able to play again. :(

Im just going by what I have heard over the news this whole year. Many people throughout the Big 12 and beyond have said this about him.

He is probably the best defender at his position in the Big 12. That was all I was hearing on the radio this morning during my travel east. They were talking about the youtube video showing the break in real time. I haven't wanted to check it out.

Its disgusting. Poor guy. one of the grossest breaks I have ever seen...but apparently the doctors expect a full recovery.
