Top Teams of the Decade 2000 - 2009

Not only looking for teams who necessarily have won the State Championships during the past 10 years but teams consistently show up and make a deep run into the playoffs. I know there are several others --- so lets see what you got.

Top teams of the decade would mean winningest. So put Sinton in there. Made the play-offs every year but one and at least the regional finals 6 of those years. Go to the downlow main page and you'll see the top programs this decade.

Ok...let's clarify the topic.

If we are talking Top "3A" Team of the Decade, then no Celina is not the top "3A" team of this decade.

If we are talking Top Team of the Decade (regardless of classification and overall), then I would have to say Celina.

Yes, Tatum has won 3 Championships (and I think those were back to back to back). One of those may have been when they were 2A but they are currently 3A and those 3 Championships are why I listed them in my Top of the Decade Teams

Yes, Tatum has won 3 Championships (and I think those were back to back to back). One of those may have been when they were 2A but they are currently 3A and those 3 Championships are why I listed them in my Top of the Decade Teams

Tatum PLAYED for 3 Championships but only won two (1 in 3A 2005, 1 in 2A 2006). Farmersville beat them in the 2A Finals in 2007.

Take away their current 29 game winning streak and they are 47-44 from 2000-2008.

I would say that 29 game winning streak and two titles would still qualify them for my top 10 though.
