Does anyone have a list of or link to the District 25 All-District Team? I heard that it has been announced since La Grange has finished the playoffs.

Because the runningbacks that did are better than him.

say that for yourself... i would take downey as my number 1 back any day of the week, the kid has speed and can make you miss... he is a steady pounder and a game breaker

I agree, the kid is a good runningback but when you start to say names like Kysan Woolverton and Trent Jackson, they're on a different level than Downey.

downey is great back but clearly the cuero/sealy game showed us who was the greater back

I don't know him personnally, but a college would be doing themselves a favor to look closely at Ryan Scrimma our defensive tackle. I watched him dominate in the games he played. Just saying he deserves a long look. I think a few distractions kept him out of the top rung.
Congrats to all the players that were chosen and those that were not. It was a joy to watch such high caliber football this year.

I think he got his grades strong enough to play the last few games. I know he missed the Sealy and Lagrange games.

in downeys defense, he started both offense and defense and took back the opening kick off for a td in the cuero game... the other backs were prob more deserving but i dont think that the other backs are " levals ahead of downey"

what hurt downey the most was not having a junior season... after quitting twice and only playing half of the games it makes it hard for a college coach to recognize him as a good student athlete... he is one of the best RBs i have seen play in a long time and has a bright future ahead, that is if he keeps his attitude in line and stays out of trouble
