Week Three: Navasota vs Bellville/La Grange/Sealy

I really would like to see Navasota and Silsbee play more games. I think that could be a good rivalry, as the athletes are pretty similar.

Believe they are world beaters now, do we? Yeah, 1-4 or 2-3 would be likely with some luck, but if everybody makes it out without a major injury, you ought to be toughened for district and playoffs.

And by the way, you are talking about playing a 5A and two that could be 5A next year, not to mention that they are title contenders on a roll.

I talk to many from the little triangle made up of Sinton, Odem and Taft. The kids are always up for these games because their uncles, Dads and Granddads talk about them all the time.:)

we'll play ya. and after seeing gilmer twice this year, I think our teams from 1995-2001 could beat Gilmer. Ive seen better teams than Gilmer at the 2a and 3a levels over the past 10-15 years

Seeing as I'll be moving to the 2a board come Feb.1 and there's no chance of district play, I hope Graham gets scheduled. It's a good rivalry thats gone on since both programs started fielding teams. There needed to be a break a few years back (both sides began vandalizing), but now I think it's to a point where they could at least play with no issues.

Asking for no injuries with a tough schedule is a tall order. Celina played a very tough nondistrict schedule and everyone said we would be battle tested for district and playoffs. Instead, we had numerous major injuries; and at a small 3A school with a limited number of great athletes, those injuries were devastating all year. We just weren't able to overcome the injuries this year. NO COMPLAINTS OR EXCUSES, just plain unlucky with the injuries and a very disappointing season for players, coaches and fans. Better luck next year.
