If you go back and look at all the stats, its usually a toss up between 2 and 3. Don't ask me why but the stats don't lie.

Im a bit biased but I say Region II is the toughest. Lots of recent state champs have come out of Region II. Might be different this year, but Like I say, Im biased.

Id have to go with Region IV, i know that we havent produced many state champs, but thats because we kill eachother for 10 weeks, and 5 extra kill anything we have left.

Region IV? Please tell me you're kidding.
There is a valid argument for region III, but I would say region II. You'd have to go back to '91 to find a year that there wasn't a region II representitive in the 3a finals. Also, take a look at last year's state champions statewide. Lufkin, Mesquite, Ennis, Denton Ryan, Everman, Commerce, and Celina are all region II teams. The only two that didnt have a region II champion still had a region II representitive.
So, I would rank the regions like this:
Region II
Region III-In a very close second
Region I-a little further down
Region IV-waaaay down

Two state-finalist in 3A last year were from Reg 4. LaGrange and Sinton, the 2 winners were from Reg 2. Region 4 may not be the toughest, but it was definately right next to it last year.I think it would be the same this year if LaGrange had not moved to Reg. 3.

To win a region IV district, you have a killer schedule in which you lose some of your players to injury. I know that Region II and III bring home the state championships, but I would really have to say that until you have played in Region IV, you dont know how rough it is. The small towns rely on football as their main form of anything.

According to the Data Poll after Wk 3:

Region 2 has 17 teams in the 3A top 50
Region 3 has 14
Region 1 has 11
Region 4 has 8

Strange, but after this week Region 4 will likely have 2 of the top 3 spots in that Poll.

Ok, lets all remember we're talking opinions here, so lets not get carried away. I'd have to say that results are the only thing that counts, and that statement lends itself to region 2. However, even Jacket would have to admit that region 4 is beating on the door! We need to learn to STOP beating on it and start KICKING it in!

i agree as a whole region 4 is weak and region 2 and 3 have more caliber teams, but that does not mean that burnet or sinton cant go into these regions and still dominate those teams like everman and jasper. The way i see it, region 4 has the two top teams. With region 3 right there with jasper and newton. Is Newton going D2 in the playoffs?

Newton will be D2. I am pretty sure they are the smallest school in 20-AAA. They are almost 2A.

whats with a diss on region 4? Unless you've actually played in each region this season that we're talking about and understand the schedules then how can you really know?
