Jersey Gates....should be a jr or sr right....i remember when he was just a little skinny second grader.....what's the future look like for him....saw he had 28 points the other night v. sealy.

I coached with/for his dad...Tommy "Pearly" Gates.

Jersey is a 6'4" shooting guard/swingman for the Rattlers and is a senior this year. He is a great passer also. Jersey is already signed at Lamar University and has been committed to them since early last year. On this Rattler team, he is one of five or six that can score 25 any night and will consistently give you 16-20. He also get alot of rebounds and runs the floor very well.

The thing about Jersey is his ability to fire up other team members. He will get in thier faces and show alot of emotion--kinda like you have seen from his dad in coaching. He will get a technical every now and then--but it just makes him play harder.

Of course, he grew up with one of the best Basektball coaches around and seem to have absorbed every lesson his dad could teach.
