I think Carthage if their head is screwed on right handles Graham however

I'm going to take the opposite view, Matthew. If Carthage doesn't have a really good pass-defending secondary, I think Graham stays ahead of them on the scoreboard and wins. I don't think McCoy and his receivers will have 2 bad passing games in a row unless Carthage is just athletically overwhelming. I will say ditto for La Grange, if they beat Carthage.

After watching Graham play last night and knowing that they have already beat Wylie --- I am even more confident Gilmer kicks their butts

Great ballgame. I think Graham played better and deserved the win. Haven't gone back through and looked at all the posts so I don't know what if anything has already been said about the officiating, but it was horrendous -- and most of the bonehead calls went against Pitt. Graham was fortunate to come out with the W.
I've seen Graham play and Carthage play this year. I have not seen LaGrange so don't know what they have. But if Carthage can get by LaGrange tonight, I predict Carthage will roll over Graham.

I will agree with part of what you said, it was a great game, and Graham did deserve the win! The officiating was piss poor, thats a fact! But to say that most of the bad calls were against Pitt. could only come from someone who just listened to the game!!! There were missed calls for both but Graham played Pitt and the refs the first half!!Graham did play poorly the third, but in the fourth we just told our Defense to "SIC' EM", and the rest is
H I S T O R Y !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
IF Carthage can beat La Grange, we will be glad to give ya'll a shot at the GRAHAM STEERS , they will have earned it ! Good luck to both teams!!!

I think Graham's difference was their quickness on the DL....Grahams DL out quicked a slow Pitt OL and shut down the Pitt running game. The difference for next week is that Carthage iis quicker AND much much bigger.

We heard the same thing all week from PITT, bring it!!

Or how about the holding by the Pitt OL on DL.....Or holding of the Graham Receivers ALL NIGHT LONG! Or the first O play by PItt was O interference......OH NO the officiating was the worst I have seen in a Playoff game! :hand: BUT there were enough missed and bad calls to go around:hand:

AMEN BROTHER, tell it like it is!!!!! :iagree: :iagree: :iagree:

God lets hope not! We gave Cuero three and barely survived. How about neither team turns the ball over, and we will see what happens??

I was at the game. Pitt got screwed on the first half fumble call inside the Graham 10. The kid was cleraly down and it was not a fumble. Then to add injury to insult, on the last play of the half the ball clearly broke the plane of the goal line and it was a TD but the ref called the kid down on the 1/2 foot line and no time on the clock. Officiating was terrible but Graham moves on. End of story.

Don't forget the backwards pass that Manley threw and Graham ran back to the endzone.
They called him down, with no call on the backwards pass, or no call for intentional grounding.
If you're gonna point them out point all of them out.
Might as well pile on. Back Judge was letting them play too.
Noticed some non calls throughout the game on both sides, but he was consistent about it.

Still don't understand how the "speed" of Pittsburg was there. All of their passes were mostly curl routes.
Graham had the routes that their receivers got behind the DB.

And... let's go ahead and throw on #2 for Graham dropping a TD pass in the endzone.
You can go on and on in this game. Fumbles, muffed punts, delay of game for Pitt when they are on the 2 yard line, one team is going on IMO because of their defense.

Was at the game...my thoughts..

1. Pitt has a great team! It was one of those games that you hate that someone has to lose.

2. That being said. Had Graham not had the turnovers, this game would not have been close. Before the turnovers, Pitt had 3 points going into the 3rd. When Graham stopped them twice and then due to dumb mistakes gave them the ball twice on inside the 20. That is why Pitt sccored the 2 TDS.

3. I thought the officiating was actually pretty good. Can't make a call at the end of the first half. I was on the complete other end of the stadium. But the ref was right there, so I trust his call.

4. Pitt's kicker is a BEAST!

5 I just hope by now...a lot of posts have not given Graham a lot of credit. What I mean is posts like... "Pitt has better atheletes" etc.... Hopefully now, people will see that we are the real deal.

By the way, I heard on Fox sports last night, that if Graham wins state and UT wins the National Championship, it would be the first time in history that brothers have done that. That would be cool.

Good luck and proud to be a GRAHAM STEER!

How bout that Coach Sides???
