PS Marlin was not unbeatable when we played them last year...Given they had some big plays, but not a State Champion football team. Marlin can talk smack when they get to the Mack Daddy of all high school football games. Whether you talk trash or not, Weve been there, you guys, not lately.

I have reviewed the films several times myself and Marlin won on 3 big plays: interception on the 35 yardline when Boothe fell down for a runback TD second play from scrimmage; 94 yard td run by Tank when LG had them pinned on the 4 3rd and 6 (MLB followed the man in motion to the left leaving a gap in the middle) and a long pass in a crossing pattern over the middle when our db made a mistake on coverage. The Leps played very poorly that night and Marlin was clearly more on their game. I don't think this years team in Marlin is near as good, while La Grange continues to improve. If we do meet in the playoffs Marlin will not have an easy time, it will be more like the first game which was close the whole time and turned on fumbles and special teams execution. BTW,good luck in school!
