La Grange Leopards Band of Brothers

The Leps are the Band of Brothers. Where does this phrase come from? It comes from Shakespeare's Henry V where the King addresses his men before the battle of Argincourt (1415). Outnumbered and facing a terrible foe the King responds to his cousin Westmorland who questions the wisdom of joining in a fight that he may well lose. This is the famous St Crispian's day Speech.

What's he that wishes so?
My cousin Westmoreland? No, my fair cousin;
If we are mark'd to die, we are enow
To do our country loss; and if to live,
The fewer men, the greater share of honour.
God's will! I pray thee, wish not one man more.
By Jove, I am not covetous for gold,

Old men forget; yet all shall be forgot,
But he'll remember, with advantages,

Lep players will hold dear their memories of this semi final game. When they are old and grey like me they will remember like it was yesterday. There are hundreds of talented young men who will not be playing Saturday night because they were not fortunate enough to have the opportunity to be in the Texas 3A High School Championship Semi-Final game. Lep players have this once in a lifetime opportunity. A brief 3 hour moment in their, God willing, long lives which they will carry in memory until they depart this mortal coil. Don't waste it!
