Yates does press, they have a bunch of 6'3-6'6 guys who are athletic as all get out and they are relentless and deep

At some point you would think that the coach would get a clue and get out of the press. What has happened to sportsmanship these days?? These are KIDS that you are beating by 100+ not pros. It's abundant in football as well. Too many classless a-holes in coaching today.

this was my first year in coaching..and we were not good..3-8( but play-offs baby!! lol)

We had a couple of games that we got rocked in 61-0 that could have been worse type of games...I learned the kids getting beat like that felt worse when the other team started letting off the pedal and emptying the bench and obviously just trying to get the game over with. They prefered getting their butt handed to them with effort than the team having "mercy" on them.

At any level of play if your a coach and your still trapping and pressuring the ball full court when your up by 100 points your a first class jerk. Anyone who defends it is to. Thats all carry on :D

Ok, I'll bite :) Nothing wrong with breaking the national record unless of course your up by 100+. The players probably don't have a problem with it like Txbroadcaster said but as a coach my own personal value set would not allow me to do it. Its a flaw in my character :D

At some point, what would happen if all the teams refused to play Yates, and Yates went undefeated by forfeits? It wouldn't prepare them well for the playoffs despite the gaudy record...

So teams would forefit district games?? Pretty chicken S if you ask me to forefit because a team is too good. It's very easy in hoops to find people to play them, they could just be like Oak Hill and travel around...hell they already went to Hawaii. They'd be unbeaten in district and be ready for the playoffs just by scrimmaging each other LOL

Who knows how all that works, I have heard from a couple of people in Houston not in HISD and they said most of those kids live in the 3rd Ward. But I allso hear the recruiting stories too

So many are caught up in the amount of points that they are scoring but how many have taken the time out to check the results of other games.?

The 100 pt games I don't have a huge problem with, but when you start fouling to try and get to 100 with that I have to take issue. All I have heard is that when they get up they start snowbirding and try to put it in your face with 360s and alley oops, just showboating. It is one thing to get beat by a superior team. It is another to get embarresed.
