Dawgs had a rough game last night but survived and that is what is important this time of year.

P.S. Carthage RB O'Bryan Washington ran for 203 yards on 23 carries, while QB Anthony Morgan went 13-for-15 for 171 yards and 4 Touchdowns!

Be Afraid, Very Afraid!

Obviously, you have never heard the Tatum broadcast.

100 times worse! The Carthage guys are not good but they do give score every 5 minutes or so and they dont yell at the top of their lungs the entire game.

you have a very good team. saw you play last night and last year against giddings, very good team, did i say that already. lagrange or sinton will end their season next week. someone in the stands said that you did not have a very good def. lineman playing last night? true or not true?

LOOK FORWARD TO THE MATCHUP DAWGS! Oldtownag's statement: be afraid, very afraid....Sorry, Leopards will be hungry and fear is not part of our makeup. We thrive on faith in the band of brothers leopard wrecking crew from LG. So, congrat's to you dawgs and get ready for a fierce dog and cat fight in north texas!

really? cause most of the time i heard the scores it would be right after the score or before they went to a break.

But i have never listened to someone who was a worse homer.

If your a commentator, don't say "we" or "us". I can understand supporting the team and community, but COME ON MAN!!

In East Texas almost every town has a local radio broadcast of the games. 98% of the listeners will be fans of that team. Therefore, I don't have a big problem with them being homers.

Yeah but from a professional standpoint, not so much.

You are assuming that they are trying to be objective. Bad assumption on your part. Ha Ha

i'm not assuming that. its just their part of the media, not the team.

they are part of the media by the thinnest of margins..They are not guys trying to become media people, they are Jimmy and Joes who love their town and love to have fun on the air..it gets tiresome at times, but they are what they are..homers broadcasting to a homer audience

How are they not trying to become "media people"? They're affiliated with the radio station, there fore they are part of the media.

My point is they are not trying to be professional media members..most get paid MAYBE travel expenses. They work other jobs fulltime, they dont have the training, or exp.

Oh ok. wasn't aware of their profession. See at the radio station in Cameron, all of our sports broadcasting teams are full time staff members of the radio station. Except sometimes we'll get a former or current coach from the area to do color commentary.
