Is going on at College Station. Stanford won the first game in a thriller 2-1 in Overtime. Both teams were great and both had a chance to score and win it in the last few minutes but it went into Overtime and Stanford finally got a shot to win it.

The second game is on right now between North Carolina and Notre Dame and with 25 minutes left it is a scoreless tie. North Carolina has outplayed Notre Dame but ND is hanging on with timely defense. That is what is great about soccer. The best team doesn't always win and that brings out the passion. The teams seem evenly match.

The final game will be Sunday between Stanford and the winner of North Carolina and Notre Dame and will be on ESPN2 starting at 1 P.M.

It is now 22.5 minutes left in regulation and in the last two minutes both sides had a good chance to make a goal. ND barely missed one that hit the bar and North Carolina had a chance but kicked it wide.

About 8 minutes left and North Carolina breaks through and gets a goal. Both sides have had chances. ND will have to take chances now and may either tie it up or give up a goal. My guess is that this point should win it. It 1 - 0 in favor of North Carolian.

North Carolina holds on to win 1 - 0 in a good game by both sides. I think NC had the better team but ND had their chances and even at a shot at tying it in the last few minutes.

Now NC plays Stanford Sunday and it should be a good game.
North Carolina has a dynasty in women's soccer but hopefully Stanford will play them a good close game and maybe even win. NC has a dynasty obviously but it is not a dominate one as in the past because these games were close tonight and the losers had chances to win and that is what makes women's (and men's) soccer so great. Vive le Soccer.
