Yeah, Navasota is playing Basketball right now and will be a force there too. Gilmer beat Navasota in a great game and that is a fact. I picked Gilmer to beat Cuero because I felt that they should win that game. Likewise, I think that the Wylie defense will be the difference this week. I expect this to be one of those games like the last two weeks for Gilmer, coming down to the fourth quarter.

The difference between me and you is that I understand that on any given week, there are many intangible things that can come up and bite a team in the butt. Whether it is turnovers, injuries, or whatever, at this level of the playoffs such things are game changers.

As for the THUMP. Thump, THUMP--the Rattlers will be in the playoffs again and challenging for at least a Regional Championship -- where will Gilmer be? I will gladly take my Rattlers as Regional contenders in every sport than only want success in one sport. I can proudly sit in the stands all year for my Rattlers. I am proud of every accomplishment that the Rattler men and ladies earn and nothing will ever change that.

OldBison has been gracious and very fair on his analysis of our game with Navasota and Cuero. While I don't agree with his prediction of the Wylie came, he is entitled to his opinion and should not be ridiculed. Go Buckeyes

Thank you N4SIR, I give my opinions and analysis based on what I see and feel. Gilmer has deserved to be Number 1 all year and I am certainly not 100% sure they won't still be next week. I base my prediction on the ability of Wylie's defense and how I see it matching up with Gilmer's offense. I think that the Gilmer defense can hold thier own against the Wylie offense--but defense wins championships and I just have a feeling that Wylie will make the big stop late. No disrespect to the Buckeyes at all.

NO--I picked the Wylie Bulldogs to win it all at the first of the year and have not changed that prediction even in the contest (see J.Porter brackets).

I have believed all year that the Wylie defense would be the deciding factor and I still feel that way, whether it is against Gilmer, Cuero, and even my own Navasota Rattlers.

He also has press credentials for the Houston Texans and I see him in the press box for the games.

He also has credentials for Dallas Cowboy home games.


He's very knowledgeable and told me at the beginning of the season would be Cuero and he was right
