I noticed that the Navasota vs Gimer game had alot of college scouts in the stands. I saw Nebraska, SFA, SHSU, Texas A & M, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Baylor, and LSU all had people in the stands with clipboards and taking notes. I am sure there were others there also. They got to see some really great athletes play and at least 15 will get offers for college football in my opinion.
I talked with a scout from one of the schools and he said there were three players on the field that could be starter for his program next year and he hoped he could get them all. Both QB's in the game are highly recruited and Calhoun from Navasota will have his pick.
I think it is great to see such interest in 3A talent and even though some talent at this level is usually overlooked-there are some future college stars on most fields every week.
