count your blessings, texas footballers, for playing at Thanksgiving....
i moved to arkansas for my junior year only in 1972, joined the team at McClellan High that year, we won district that year and then watched as the school started celebrating playing for the state title the next game......coming from texas it blew my mind, winning district then next is the state title game.....
yes, things have changed with multiple entrants even extending arkansas' season now, but there's nothing like playing at Thanksgiving....
