I couldnt agree with this any more! The coin toss is always 50/50, after that it will be all Graham.

I don't understand most posters on this board. And I'm saying this on this thread not because it's directed at any single graham fan or any bridgeport fan....
IT DOES NOT MAKE YOU LESS OF A FAN TO BE HUMBLE AND REALISTIC! THIS YEAR I WAS NO LESS A LIBERTY HILL PANTHERS FAN FOR THINKING THEY ARE SEVERLY DOWN AND GOING TO GET IT HANDED TO EM A FEW TIMES THIS YEAR THAN THE PEOPLE WITH PURPLE TINTED GLASSES!
Being realistic and saying we have a weak schedule, OR we haven't been playing good ball, OR we have had a great run but it ends this week because so and so is better than us IS NOT DISRESPECTING YOUR TEAM.
Just my humble opinion, because contrary to whatever one might say on here, I have NEVER EVER predicted a LH win if I didn't KNOW we were going to win. I might tease with some people and say this or that, but I give respect where it's due. You can dig up my track record and it will show in 2006 I had knock down drag outs with Giddings and Celina fans. Then in 2007 it was Navasota and Gilmer fans. And then last year it was those weak Bridgeport fans:p And you know what ladies and gentlemen? My Liberty Hill Panther came through in every single one of those. But last year when we finally got to Celina, I bantered all week but never once said LH would win because I did my research like I do every week and I knew we had met our match.... and we did! And this year countless times I caught flack from fellow LH fans for counting the Panthers out but I honestly believed we were inferior in talent to our opponents.
So all I'm saying is it's great to talk about the game but you don't always have to be blind to the facts and completley disregard what the opponent has to say if deep down you know it's over.
With all that said, Graham is going to wax Bridgeport like LH did last year.
Let's see if I got this right, Daddy D.....
You are 100% when predicting LH victories because your superior team analysis is unfallable?
If the other team has more talent than yours, you, and everyone else should accept the fact that you are going to get beat before the game is played?
Believing that your team can beat a team with superior talent is disrespectful to the other team?
Daddy D....I respect your views, but you are going to have to come to terms with the fact that your post is some pretty contradictory hogwash that is proven wrong week after week from the pros on down. Why not just come on and post that you hope the Steers hand the Bulls a big playoff loss and quit trying to hide that fact in all the hoopla you made up? :D
Here's one fact for you---the last two times the Bulls have played Graham they have averaged 53.3 points against them. You know anybody else that can claim that as a fact? I think the Bulls are well aware of the talent and potential of this Graham team, respect it, but refuse to be awed by it.

Bulla Bulla Bulla......now you done went and pulled up stats from last year. HELLLLLOOOOO Bport is no where near the caliber team they were last year nor is graham no where near the rebuilding team THEY were last year. I am going to let the 1/2 varsity and 1/2 JV cause go from earlier this year. There is no awe to be struckin by when the steers take the field. It will be just plain ole bigger, faster, stronger, and most of all more TALENTED.
New prediction here....Yesterday I gave bulls credit for 14 but since talking to some of the D monsters from da steerz I am only going to give you credit for one earned TD. Anything else will be an early Christmas.
Steers still hang 40+ only if they are below 35 at half.

ha, burk will get smoked and the wylie band will play the second half. anyways, the score of the bridgeport graham game last year is like rediculous, because graham was terrible and b-port was a hell of a team (not saying they still arent) but graham has been improving so much since we played yall in week six, as well as yall have, but we will have to hope that we are clicking because we will beat b-port by probably 3 tds

Good luck to the Bulls and I honestly hope both teams come out and play mistake/injury free football so in the end we will know who the better team is and they can go represent R1 in the state semi finals.

Well Bull, I sure have never predicted an LH win and had them lose I can tell you that. And what I was trying to accomplish is that it's okay to acknowledge a teams strengths and your weaknesses. Or to admit that you think the opponent is going to hurt you in this certain area. I don't see alot of that on all these playoff threads and I was just commenting on that. Wasn't directed at your beloved Bulls. So don't every Bridgeport fan jump all over me when I did NOT direct that at any single one of you.
I love that all your buddies are back outta the woodwork though.
I wasn't saying for the teams to just lay down either! I was asking for the fans to give credit where it's due to the other posters and their schools!

I think this is a little more reasonable post, Daddy D, but I think you get a little mixed up when you fail to separate the smack talk fun from reality and serious posts. I don't think I have ever failed to respect any Bulls opponent, regardless of their abilities, nor refrain from discussing both the strengths and weaknesses of both the Bulls, and their opponents in any serious football post with anybody, anytime. Smack talk is smack talk and should be hopefully, for fun, but shouldn't be mixed with serious game discussion if that is someone's intent. And you bet my Bulls are beloved---just like your Panthers are beloved to you---and I intend to support them every minute they play. If you want to ask some serious game questions without any hidden barbs---fire away, and I'm sure someone will be glad to discuss and respond in kind with a serious answer.

Well b'port fans we all know that we both teams have improved over the past few weeks and we will both find out who has improved the most. There was alot of talk about how so many other teams in the playoffs didn't want to play the loboes, but our team was ready and willing to even before they knew for sure which way we were going in the playoffs. That is a testament of how our team is not afraid of anybody. Their position is bring them all on and we will play them one game at a time!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Remember last year is last year and this year is different.

I think anyone who comes out and posts about how their team is not as good as another team or how the other team is going to hurt you is showing a remarkable lack of faith. It's certainly not something I personally would ever do. I'm a fan, not a football analyst, and I'm going to support my team no matter what. And I hardly think it's disrespectful to say you think your team is going to win no matter who they're playing. That's what I expect. And I would certainly hope if any of our boys happened on to the board, that's what they'd see from everyone else. YMMV, and clearly does. I guess I can see where you're coming from, sort of, but that's just not why I'm here. I don't think it's blind faith so much as it is unswerving support.
Oh, almost forgot: GO BULLS!!!!

Who's actin' Rustler? That was a straight opinion....Playoff games are win and go on, or lose and stay home---regular season pre-district games have no playoff bearing and count only for bragging rights and rankings. Big, big diff. I do think all teams try hard to win every game, but they don't play with the urgency of a playoff game.

So, Daddy D 11 aka "Boy Genius", using your own flawed logic, did you educate your beloved Panthers last year on the butt-whipping they were going to get from Celina ???
The Bulls will be ready for Graham this friday night. Everyone knows that both these teams are scoring machines, it will come down to which D can get the most stops and turnovers. This Bull's D is very opportunistic and will do what it takes to stop McCoy et al.

Nope, the only thing you need to remember is that the Bulls have been traditionally a "playoff peaking" team, and that is not "hype"---that is a fact. I realize the Steers don't have much experience past the first round, so you'll have to take my word for it. :D

You know, I was too---seriously, we have a 1-1 playoff series deadlock with Monahans that needed deciding and if #3 would be anything like the first 2 games we could charge $100 a ticket and still sell out the stadium.

Funny how the Bulls kicking game played such a part in both the 05' and 08' games.....In 05' we didn't have one and couldn't make 6 out of 7 PAT's and lost by 1, and in 08' kicked a FG for the OT win.
Now back to them Steers......:D

Wasn't Monahans playing without their 1st team QB, RB, and three other starters when Graham played them? If so, that makes a world of difference. From what I've heard the starting QB was a potential all-state player. The back-up that played is a good runner but he couldn't throw the ball all that well. It would have been a much better game if those guys had been playing. I guess we'll never know.

All I can say is that the QB Monahans had was damn good as well as their running back! If they would have had their others it might have been a different game. We probably would have had to hang 75 on them if that was the case.

It's just hard for me to take the Bulls seriously when both the Green brothers are gone and some of that defense is gone as well. I realize that those that stepped in are obviously doing well to get you to the third round, but I have my doubts about what they can do this week.

Trying to think of something to post that won't sound "cliche" to people reading this....The best I can come up with is----Friday will tell us a lot about the 09' Bulls. They are again facing a very talented and favored full-strength Graham team and have a chance to prove that they belong deep in these playoffs. They have shown me this in the last 2 games---I hope they show me even more this week. I had my doubts earlier in the year, but now I think they have turned the corner, matured, and believe enough in themselves and their coaches to keep on winning against anybody.
Go Bulls!

Didn't get much of a chance to get my words in on this one...
Bulls have their work cut out for them... they can play VERY well, but need to show some maturity, especially on O. During CS game we had two miscues inside our red zone that led to 14 pts. A poor decision on a fake punt deep in our territory led to 7 more. We need to keep our heads about us and play our game.
D should do well. Obviously you cannot keep this Graham team from putting points on the board, (I mean, heck, from reading on this thread they can cure cancer and whoop Chuck Norris), so you just need to focus on keeping up.
Gonna be a big challenge, head says too tough but heart says Bulls Win.

O.k., looks like everybody got their licks in on this one, so I'm going to drop out of playtime smack mode and echo some of the sentiments expressed earlier.....
The Bulls are coming on, but they are playing a Graham Steer team that is very similar to the Bull 08' team---they are very talented and potent on both sides of the ball and you Graham folks are justifiably proud of them and their record so far this season. I think the Bulls will have to play above their heads to beat this Graham team by making few mistakes, and executing well on every play. Regardless of the outcome, Region I will be well represented in the playoffs by either of these fine teams. Both have great coaching, been fortunate enough to have great kids in their programs year after year, and have communities which support them all the way at every game.
I have had a lot of fun getting into character and trading a little smack plus making a couple of serious posts with our Graham friends and neighbors, who are a great bunch of folks with class, football savvy, and a sense of humor. Thanks to all of our other Downlow friends who dropped in to support either team and added to the fun.
So let's go to Aledo and have a hard-fought, clean, and injury free game between two fine football teams. I wish you all safe travel---please leave the alcohol at home, and I will look forward to seeing you all there. Best of luck to the Graham Steers and fans.
Today is Thanksgiving Day. We all have much for which to be thankful. I hope you and yours spend a great day with family and friends reflecting on the generosity of our Lord's Blessings. May God Bless and keep you all....and most of all.....

This Morning I was listening to the Morning Radio Show here in Graham and those guys had a China Spring Coach and he talked about both teams. He said the Middle of Bulls defence gave them fits and how #16 Daniels is the real deal but he said after looking at films of the Steers he said it was going to be hard for the Bulls Defence to keep up with the Steers Offence. The way he saw it who plays the best Defence wins the game. I think I tend to agree!

good game by both teams, too many mistakes by bridgeport, i thought bport was going to score down on the 20 but was stopped short 0n 4th and 2, bridgeport defense kept them in the game, too many fumbles and int. to come up with the win, but anway still proud of the bulls great effort and all the bridgeport support, stands were fairly full, man mccoy is an arrogant little turd, arguing withe the refs and running along the bport sidelines with his arrms in the air, i love colt mccoy and the texas longhorns but hope case never takes a snap at the next level. thanks bulls for another remberable season.

Congrats to Bridgeport on a great season. Really good team.
Now...as far as you thinking of Case Mccoy being a "TURD"...
I have known the McCoys for several years. I have gotten to see Case grow up from a Freshman who was learning the game to the player he is now. He is the LEAST arrogant kid I know. I do not see him arguing with refs...he has never been penalized for it...why is talking to the refs considered arguing. As far as running past the Bport bench with his hands up..not sure if he did that or not. If he did, I am sure he was caught up in the moment. I know he did not do that to rub it in or whatever. He is a great kid. I think the McCoys did a GREAT job raising thier sons. They all are good Christian guys with good heads on thier shoulders. Sorry that you feel the way you do.

ALright, well i know this mccoy boy real well, he is a great friend of mine, and i just want to say that he never raised his hands on the b-port side line! he deliberately ran down the hash line of their side of the field in celebration for his team. Honestly if i were in his shoes, I would have gone even further than that with the poor class of the b-port fans in their boos toward mccoy. Give me a break, it is the 3rd round of the playoffs, if any of yall could throw a touchdown in that round, Im pretty sure you would have been head over heels excited too! Give him a break, he was definitely leading his team tonight and they fed off of him to get another big win! Go Steers.

Congrats to the Steers on a hardfought victory. You can bet I'll be rooting for you guys from here on out--represent region 1 well!!
But as for Case McCoy, I promise you he made no friends in Bridgeport last night. You can say all you want that taunting wasn't his intent, but that's certainly not how his actions came across. And while taunting our sidelines was probably the worst thing he did, it wasn't the only thing. I have never in all the years I've watched high school football seen or heard of a quarterback in the refs ear all night. Bad enough when a coach does it, but a player? I think he's got a little bit of a case of Big Head. I only hope that attitude doesn't affect his playing, because I really do want you guys to go deep now.
I also want to say how proud I am of the Bulls. They played hard and showed what they're made of, only to get beaten by a strong team and some really critical turnovers. I don't think many people expected them to make such a strong showing, and I cannot wait until next year. GO BULLS!!

First off good job Bridgeport on a well fought game, your guys never gave up and it was just fight, fight, fight, awesome job !!! Everyone should be proud of ya'lls team!!!
Now on the McCoy issue, if he did something wrong or RUDE to your fans, coachs, or most of all your team, I'd bet he would be the first say he was sorry, and I know his Dad would be mad as hell about his actions. If he did as ya'll stated, and thats a big IF then I as a supporter am hurt by his actions, and want ya'll to know that this is not what is coached, condoned or tolerated at this school. From what I was told by our players last night ya'lls #16 was perhaps wrought with emotion a couple of times during the game, and thats ok , because it was a high tention game for both teams. That being said if we can walk away from this big of a game with only 1 player from each team in conflict, that leaves about 50 someodd on each team that did just fine!!! Once again good job Bridgeport. Be proud, Be a TEAM, and be seeing ya' next year!!

Good grief people can't ya'll see we left our shovels and post hole diggers in the truck and we are not going to rip up the track. First off congrats to the Bulls! They fought hard and was every bit as good as our Boys expected. Graham played a good game but not great. There was some sloppy football on both sides, but it I do believe the better team one. As for the deal on Graham's QB, I think all of this is a mute point if his last name was not McCoy. It did not appear that he was argueing anything. I would assume that he was questioning what was an obvious pass interference call but not argueing which was what set the Bridgeport fans off and starting BOOING him. He then completed a pass for a touch down and streaked down the field celebrating, never once pointing or looking towards the Bridgeport side. When he come off the field it appeared that he got and ear full from his coach/dad. Once again I believe that this is all a mute point if his last name was not McCoy. Great game all the way around. Lets get onto Wimberley.

Congrats to the Graham Steers for a hard fought playoff victory. The Steers are a great team with a lot of talented weapons. I wish you well the rest of the way in the playoffs, and I hope I can say the Bulls lost to the eventual DII state champ.
A team cannot spot a good team like the Steers 14 points in the 1st Quarter and turn the ball over 5 times and win at this level. Credit to the Steer defense for causing and making the turnovers. The Bulls did not play their best game on offense, but still managed to drive the ball consistently, although not always successfully, on the Steers. They had too many penalties that hurt at critical times and had two 4th down drives stalled by inches. Again, credit to the Steer defense for making those stops when it counted.
The Bull defense played tough again and gave up some easy scores on a couple of well-executed pass plays. McCoy throws well and has receivers that have excellent hands and really go after the ball in traffic. I think the Steers saw the determination that has carried this Bulls team all season long the entire game, however.
For those who objected to the McCoy showboating---I also saw a talented young man who didn't jump so high when he got sat on his butt several times by the Bull "D".
I am very proud to have watched the 09' Bulls play every game this season. This bunch of players started the season not really knowing their full potential, and by the playoffs, matured and learned what they were capable of doing. I couldn't be more proud of this bunch of Bulls, and it was really a pleasure watching them grow as a team and as individuals and play with the great heart that they did. The best part is that the majority of this team will return next season, and I think have the capability and the will to finish where the 09' Bulls left off.
Thank you Bulls for making the 2009 season such a pleasure to watch.
Go Bulls, Forever!

Yeah, I do think his dad took care of business in regards to the showboating. And as to his last name being McCoy, you've got that wrong. Half of the people in Bridgeport took their UT stuff just in case Colt came to this game, and more than half the people in Bridgeport went home and got stuff when we played earlier and Colt WAS at the game. There are tons and TONS of UT fans in Bridgeport, so his name being McCoy would have made us more likely to excuse him.
But yes, this game is over, good job to both teams, and the stronger team won. Now you guys move on and whoop some Wimberley behind!!!

It’s funny how the view from your side of the field is 180 degrees off of the truth. I was on the Bridgeport side and YES he did look at the Bridgeport sidelines and gesture with his arms and smiling ear to ear as if to be laughing at the Bulls team and coaches. I SAW IT! And NO, Daddy McCoy didn’t say anything or do anything to his arrogant son because he knows the refs are in his back pocket and don’t have the balls to call any unsportsmanlike penalties on him or his son for fear they would have to listen to him whine and cry from about 10 yards out on the field where he stands quite regularly. Once again, because he knows the refs wouldn’t dare throw a flag on him. All this talk about the wonderful Christian family makes me sick. Just because the family goes to church and praises God doesn’t mean they are perfect like you would like everyone to believe. I don’t get to see that side of them because the only time I see them is on the field or on the court. I’ll assure you that this same young player is a very good football and basketball player. He truly has been blessed. But his actions toward his opponents and their fans paint a not so wonderful picture of him in their eyes. He is an Eddie Haskell at best. I hope and pray he has a wake up call before he ruins what could be a wonderful opportunity at UT. You don’t see it because like I said, your view is 180 degrees off from the truth, the opponents view. Maybe you should watch him from the opponent’s sideline next time to see the REAL McCOY!

I think that was one of the best called games I have been to. The Refs set the standard early on. you do it, we see it were calling it. There was one call that IMO was bad for both teams, I guess that too was fair because it did not favor anyone.
But your mean mouth, slanderous attack on the Refs, Coach McCoy, and our QB are waaaay out of line, the only thing about the whole game that was Unsportsmanlike is your post. :tisk: :tisk:

Who’s crying?? I’m just giving you the view from the other sideline. I’ve seen this kid play basketball and football for the last three years and he has developed this arrogant attitude in the last two. You would do him more good to call him out on his actions than to excuse them and allow his ego to grow to ruin his chance to continue to improve as a player and a young man. If his dad did get on to him after taunting the Bull’s sideline, I guess I missed it. But, that would mean that he must have done something to earn that ear full. Right? He also looks at his dad and throws his arms up in disgust when he gets sacked or a receiver drops his pass. Players see this and will not play for him when he’s pointing fingers at them. I’ve never seen any player in my life talk to the refs as much as he does. Like their going to listen to him just because he’s a McCoy like his dad. I thought the officials did a pretty good job. Apparently the Graham QB didn’t. I have respect for him and his dad for their football talents and their relationship with God. But like I said even a good Christian boy can do wrong. No spilt milk here. I’m quite sure we let one get away with all our turnovers. But the Bulls will bounce back next year. I’m very proud of the young Bull team. They went farther than anyone thought they would.

If this had been your first post then maybe you wouldn't have seemed sore about the outcome. In your first post you talked about how we had the refs in out back pocket. You blame it on the last name. That makes you seem whiney.
