Talked to his mom. He is on the way home. They casted his leg and he will see orthopedic dr on Monday to find out if he will have to have surgery.

Glad to hear he is on the way home! Hoping he doesn't have to have surgery, but I knew it was pretty bad when the refs got to him and called EMS over right away.

It was an ugly fracture of the tibia and fibula. Bryston is a great kid and will come back strong.

Thank you our downlow friends for your prayers and support for our Bryston! Keep them coming.

A Caldwell Hornet left the game last night in an ambulance in excruciating pain. I got a text late last night that he suffered a broken Tibia and Fibula.

How come you didn't come see me? ;) Where were you sitting?
I was the one ringing a loud cowbell in one hand and peeking out from under a blanket...too anxious a game.

Bryston had surgery today. His leg was too swollen to put a pain block on, so he's getting oral and IV pain meds. He was in recovery the last time I talked to his mom, but she said the surgery went well. I will post when I know more. Thanks for all of the prayers, he is a great kid from a great family.

We just got back from visiting Bryston (at home). He is in very good spirits, and playing football on Xbox 360! He is planning to be at the game Friday to cheer his team to a victory!

Great news! Glad he isn't letting a broken leg stop him from cheering on the Hornets! (or playing football lol)
