Has a team (D1 or D2) ever not won a district championship that has also won a state title the same year?

Lots of teams don't win district, but go on to win it all...last years 2 3A state champs didn't win their districts..

Last year Bandera won the D2 state championship and they were 3rd place in their district behind Burnet and Liberty Hill. I think it happens more often than you would imagine.

in 2000 forney made it to the big game after losing to commerce in what was basically the district title game, then later beat them in the playoffs, but didnt win the big one of course.
