While in Bridge City visiting my mom, I noticed that Old Cardinal and the other Bridge City posters are only paying a buck twenty-four for unleaded gas. The best we can do in Baytown area is about $1.30. Any other area paying around $1.20? That may determine where we are vacationing this year. (I decided to wear the shades since it's almost summer.)

I don't wanna hear about it being almost summer, We're struggling to get to 60 here most days and it doesn't traditionally start to warm up until July 4th. The good thing is that it usually doesn't go far above 80 here at all. :D

That is one thing I can say about Bridge City, the gas prices here :D usually are lowest in the Golden Triangle. Over along I-10, gas prices are still hovering around the $1.30's to $1.40's range. :D

I am in Fayetteville N.C. right now(Tuesday) and just paid $133.9 at a Murphy's, in front of the Walmart(and that was with .03 off with a Walmart discount card).

Old Cardinal, that's encouraging, I was expecting higher prices. After a trip to South Padre, it looks like I am heading to Seattle,Wa this summer. Perhaps Bulldog92 could give me an idea what they are paying in the Northwest?

BH,
The Seattle area is a BEAUTIFUL place to go in the summer time! Mild days and cool nights were the norm when I went there in late July a few years back. I wouldn't count on their gas prices to be the best in the country, though.

Gas is $1.49 in Wichita. Up from a low of about $1.34 a couple of weeks ago.

Spiveyrat, I'm quite anxious to travel to the Northwest. We plan to spend a few days in Seattle and then travel to Vancouver. The pictures I have seen of Vancouver look just awesome. And I'm sure the break from the Texas humidity will make the trip worth while. But you're right, our rental car most likely need to be a gas miser.
