Im going with Burnet as well. I remember talking to some of our players after we beat yall in week 1 and telling them, when all is said and done, that win will be bigger than you think it is right now. I was correct, Burnet is a solid team.

IF we both prevail, I wonder where the Wylie/Burnet game would be? Should be a good one...

I am almost bald scratching my head so much...

How did Wimberley lose to LH?

And how did Wimberley beat Burnet?

LOL I am laughing hard.

We lost to LH because we spotted them 17 points in the first quarter. we seem to have a bad habit in doing this.

We beat Burnet because they really played poorly against us.

My question is...How did Brownwood go undefeated this year!!!

Ohhh...wait a minute....LOOLOOOL

What was the change in Burnet's game that they had such a high rushing total against Gatesville last week, in comparison to other games this year?

They got a 6'1" 215 move-in that runs a 4.4.

I guess I didnt see him when we played them...maybe he was one of their 6 or so sick players that night.

Sorry Super_R, I'm not buying that. The guy who had 197 rushing yards in the game last week was 5'9", 180 lb, Jathan Craig; the guy who has been their feature back all season.

Anyone who was at the Gatesville/Burnet game want to provide some insight as to what the change in Burnet's game plan was last week?

They have Jerry Vance on retainer for the rest of the season?:D

6'1" 214 lbs @ 4.4sec seems almost unbelievable.

We actually played teams that are VERY good and had 2 off nights without a QB when we played them. Be a different story if we played them this week. I am sure you understand. ;)

I was at the Burnet vs. Gatesville game and the reason they had such a high rushing total was because Burnets QB had a off night throwing the ball. He missed most of his targets on the high side. With the passing game almost non existent they went to the running game and it was highly effective. #23 did even throw a pass out of the wildcat or maybe the rabid dog or wilddog whatever you want to call it for a TD. Now you better pay attention to the pass first because that is what burnet likes to do but they can burn you with the run as well. Gatesville found that out first hand.

Got to go with Burnet, they are better than a lot of people think.:D

I know LH was down this year, but man Burnet put on a show against us. Their offense really impressed me. They've got 2 good sized kids at WR that have great hands and a 2 QB system that's deadly. I was impressed, and I left at halftime lol It was 38-0:(

I really hope Burnet wins, I want to see them play Wylie. That game would probably be in Brownwood and ill be in Goldthwaite all of Thanksgiving so you KNOW I'll be there rooting on the Bulldogs:p :D Get it?

You Really believe Burnet QB had an off night throwing the ball is why they rushed for so many yards. They rushed for so many yards because they did not have to pass. Just an observation.

Brownwood would make the most sense. I'd have to slide down there for that one. Hope it happens.

I could see it being in Brownwood, Stephenville, or even Waco. I'm guessing that it probably wont be in Hereford or Uvalde.

Burnet had 8-9 players out when they played Wimberley! That's per KVUE 24!

i was there there couldn't have been more than 4 players not suited up even if they did have 8 or 9 players injured wimberley won because we wanted it more and played like we really can. burnet even out rushed wimberley by at least 100 yds. but the defense held strong and we came out with the win, and no disrespect to burnet but it seems that every team that loses to us has some excuse for the reason they didnt win

Wimberley got the W so it doesn't matter! Burnet's healthy now and that's what matters.

The REAL Bulldogs from BURKBURNETT win 27-21 with a 92 yard 7 minute option/wing T/veer offense that decided to kneel down and kill the clock rather than punch in another TD.

Burnet boys played hard and all the props to them. Hard fought game. We had fun. Its any given Friday...you have to play the game.

Congratulations to both teams. It's been a good run for both of you, but my personal prediction earlier this week (which I have kept to myself up to now) was that the winner of this game would not be the winner of the next round. Having said that, good luck to Burkburnett next week.
