On Dave Campbell's website www.texasfootball.com there are two RIV-AAA players nominated for Player of the week.

Donnie Butler, Mathis RB: Rushed for 301 yards, 4 TDs in a 41-24 win over Lyford

Kam Jones, Edna QB: Passed for 367 yards, 3 TDs, and rushed for 260 yards, 5 TDs, and intercepted a pass in a 54-40 win over Luling.

Vote early, vote often and lets bring this award to RIV this week.

Come on, get to voting for either of these two gentlemen. Judging by the stats, I think Kam deserves the award. However, you can not go wrong with either candidate.

While the Mathis kid's performance and numbers are impressive....

Jones' numbers just can't be argued with.

Jones all day.

I will say K. Jones stats are off the chart, and he should be the player of the week, but throwing for 500 yards is pretty impressive. I have noticed that they did not put the Glen Rose QB'S rushing stat's on here. I know he had a rushing TD. as well. I have no idea how many yard's.

the REG IV EDITOR posted this about a Reg IV player from Edna-nothing against the Glen Rose QB - I am sure you already know his stats but if you want to see them, they are on the texasfootball.com site under the high school link... go to Dick's Sporting Goods POTW

Kam Jones seemed to have the award in hand but the young man from Odessa is closing fast. Lets bring this award home to RIV. Thanks for your votes.
