Who are gonna be some of the best in the state?

Chance Schmidt from Sinton, led all classifications with 11 interceptions.

He was also first team All-State in football and baseball.

Chance Schmidt is one of the best I have ever seen-if it's possible he will catch it!

J.P. Sonnenberg from Barbers Hill is among the state's best. He had a break out year last season and looks to improve again. He plays the run like a linebacker and didn't have one touchdown caught on him all season. He is one of the best strong safeties in the state.

Campbell @ Perryton is a good one. He had 8 interceptions last season, and remember, that far out west you aren't gonna see that many passing teams, so your opportunities for rackin up those kinds of numbers aren't as good. Not saying that head to head he is any better than any of the other fine players mentioned here, but I think it's worth noting. Also some very talented and speedy DB's in Kennedale, running 4.5s. Everman had a kid last year that was on JV, that I saw play once and he was impressive, don't know his name or if he's even still there but I would guess he will be a good one as well, maybe matt can enlighten me.

Look for Tim Oliver from Mathis to be a hitter in defense this year.He does have speed not to mention good hands.

I think the kid you are talking about is Tim Jones....(last name may be Jackson not sure..) he is an athlete....will be a sophmore this year I think...they also have another good sophmore named Marcus Jamison who as a freshman averaged over 200 yards on JV...bc he was the kid you saw last year that was a freshman running back against Azle..
