The Needville Blue Jays ended their season this past Friday against D25 winner Sealy.

The Jays ended w/ a 7-4 record and were 3rd in D26 3A.

Their schedule was as follows:

Columbus - W 27-13
2A Tidehaven - W 41-14
West Columbia - W 33-7
Wharton - W 20-15
Sweeny - L 28-6

Brookshire Royal - L 34-28
Sealy - L 43-36

The Defense had 8 INTs

Individual Stats:

QB Caleb Berry:
85 of 159 for 1316 Yds, 15TDs, 2INTs

FB Dylan Fuchs:
106 for 589 Yds, 5.56 Yds/carry, 10TDs

RB Shea Lehman:
101 for 583 Yds, 5.77 Yds/carry, 6TDs

RB Josh Novosad:
72 for 413 Yds, 5.74 Yds/carry, 4TDs

QB/RB Jim Wilson:
39 for 231 Yds, 5.92 Yds/carry, 5TDs

Berry also had 100 Yds and 6TDs

Kendrick Scott had 73 Yds and 3 TDs

4 Other players had carries.

Lehman had 382 yds and 3 TDs receiving.

Mason Briscoe had 330 Yds receiving and 4TDs

4 others had over 100yds receiving and accounted for 8 TDs

According to my numbers...Needville loses 20 seniors from this year's team.

Congratulations Needville on a great season. Last Friday was an incredible game to watch. Your kids played with heart.

Good job Needville; I will be first to admit, I didn't give you guys a chance against the mighty Sealy. I even said to my close friends, "Needville will lose by thirty". I was so wrong, you guys did a great job, congratulations.

your game with sealy is what i think of when people say gilmer is going to steamroll everyone....it might happen but needville showed teams don't just roll over and play dead because of the polls....

congrats on leaving your mark on the playoffs......

Also what Brookshire Royal did to state ranked Giddings; they took it to them. Giddings did not know what hit them.

On any given night any team can win, especailly in the playoffs.

Never underestimate your opponent!! You might find yourself watching from the stands the following week!

very exciting game played by your entire team.
your entire fan base should be very proud of this season, and your performance.
everyone in the Sealy stands were impressed !
