The Cuero fans in here might be able to answer this question...whatever happened to Robert Strait? Is he back in Cuero? I read online he had a decent collegiate career at Baylor. Cameron Yoe lost their opportunity for another state championship in 1987 (Toby York's final year at Cameron Yoe) when they faced Robert Strait and Cuero in the state semi-finals...from what I have heard, the game was decided in the final seconds, but I don't know any details. Cuero went on to face Waco McGregor the next week...winning 14-6, and coming away with a state title.

Robert is in Cuero. I talked to him the other day. He still looks like he could play some football.
