I think I mentioned on another post that we would probably be playing Lucas Lovejoy again. Are they switching it up this year? I know we played them last year in the semis. Does anyone have the records of the teams?

Great...gives people more time to get to the football game. Know of several that will make the trip back to Waller.

Louise are Hornets as well in Class A

They beat a lot of 2A and 3A schools

won state in 1969 I think

Monahans High School drew Caldwell for the opening semifinal of the UIL Class 3A State Volleyball Championships.

The Lady Loboes (39-5) earned their sixth trip to the state tournament in eight years Saturday by knocking off Abilene Wylie 22-25, 25-15, 25-21, 25-18 in the Region I-3A Tournament championship match.

Monahans and Caldwell (31-12) face off at 1 p.m. Friday at Texas State University's Strahan Coliseum in San Marcos. The second semifinal, scheduled for 3 p.m., is between defending state champion Lucas Lovejoy (41-7) and Wimberley (33-12).

Caldwell, like Monahans, survived a five-set match in the regional quarterfinals and a four-set regional championship match. At Bryan High School on Saturday, Caldwell earned its trip to state by beating Mexia 18-25, 25-20, 25-15, 25-15.

Caldwell is making a second consecutive trip to the state tournament and seventh overall, with six coming since 1998. Head coach Jane Anne Giese played for Caldwell's championship team in 1998.

Monahans is making its 15th appearance at the state tournament and has nine titles, with the last coming in 2004. Monahans also has played in 3A final in its last five state tournament appearances.

I have been told this is the worst record of any team for Wimberley VB going into the state tourney. But it doesnt matter, all teams are 0-0 starting Thursday! It will come down to which coach can prepare his team for the Big Show. Wimberley is a as good as anyone at this when it comes to VB.

As well as Cumby and Flippin, all 3 have several kills a match. I do believe Cumby leads the team in kills.

Monahans 5 losses have come to 5A El Paso Franklin,5A Odessa High,5A San Angelo Central,2 games to 4A Hereford.Not bad for a 3A school,But like wimbo-pro said throw out the records.Just makeing it to state is tough.Congrats to all these teams and good luck,your all champions in my book.

This White Oak team is a must see. If you get the chance P4S....don't miss them. There are about 2 miles down the road from us and have been our biggest rivals for years. They moved down to 2A couple years ago but dominated in 3A too historically.

Will you be at State Tourn?

Just goes to show you that you can't go by the records. Some teams play much harder schedules than others and it really helps. I know that we play in alot of 4 and 5A tournaments every year to get us ready for district.
