Actually I was sitting in the Hotel lobby in Lubbock Saturday morning and met some people from Monahans (they were in town for the volleyball game). They did tell me that Seminole was terrible. I mentioned that 7-3 was not a shappy record and they told me that nobody in there district was any good.

I watched the Monahans-Seminole game in Seminole in week 6 and when Monahans scored on the 1st play of the 4th to make it 42-0, Seminole had 2 first downs for the whole game. They put up 2 TDs on Monahans' backups to make the final 42-14. They are down this year. Should be a Brownwood blowout.

Didn't play inspired? The most points Dalhart gave up all season was 27... Brownwood had 33 midway through the 3rd and then stuck in the JV o-line along with a freshman QB and two freshman RBs. Dalhart managed right around 100 yards of offense and got their only touchdown when they returned a fumble from one of the freshman. Brownwood could have won this game by 50, but didn't need to.

In defense of the Lions, the same "rumor" stated that they got to Jones Stadium and had to get dressed in a restroom until one of the teams playing before them was out of the dressing room. It would be very hard to prepare mentally in a restroom stall.

In my opinion Brownwood did what good teams do in the playoffs. Yes our kids knew going in that Dalhart could not beat us unless we beat ourselves. Our D totally dominated the game. We allowed 108 yards on the game and defensively pitched a shutout. We played our back ups on offense after the first TD in the 3rd Qtr. By the start of the 4th Qtr we had our Freshman Qb 2 freshman Rbs and 1 Freshman reciever playing all behind our JV Oline. We started using the backups on D in the 4th as well. Their TD came on a fumbled pitch from fish Qb to fish Rb. It was down anyway buy the refs let them have it. I don't blame them. Dalhart deserved to score. They played as hard as they could. Call it uninspired, I call it dominating.

I can believe you guys are a different team. It does happen like that at times. In 06 we were in a 3 way tie for 3rd place in our district and only got in by a coin flip. Things had gotten much better buy the last game of the season and we beat Waco Midway buy about a million points. In the playoffs we whipped Ennis, Dallas Lincoln and Lake Dallas.. all team that were supposed to beat us but we had a different team at that point in the year.

What I am saying is I think the coaches know this happens and are giving Seminole lots of respect in practice this week. I believe Brownwood will come away with the win but I that is mainly because I am a true homer...

Good luck this week and I hope for a great game from both teams...

If your team is not improving each week, then you have no shot at doing much. Also, looking back to Week 5-6 and saying that is who Brownwood or any good team is is DUMB. Especially a young team. Good teams snowball into the playoffs. They don't just stay the same.

Just a little food for thought. I was trying to find more info on Seminole other than our game comparisons with Sweetwater. Didnt find much, but I did find this........

According to the Huddle Up Texas website, Brownwoods stregth of schedule is ranked at #7 in 3A. Makes that 9-2 record look pretty dang good. Seminoles stregth of schedule is ranked at #150. Makes that 8-3 record look, maybe a little suspect???

i guess nobody knows that the guy that was our starting QB broke his leg first scrimmage of the year. we had two of our receivers trading out at QB and they did a fantastic job. but our QB is back , he came back for the andrews game; and we are where we should have been at the start of the season. our QB is back and our receivers are catching his awsome passes! so dont overlook the indians (warning!):D p.s. our running game is pretty awsome too

i was not trying to disrespect greenwood by posting those photos they were just the best photos i had of our team ,a team that we are very proud of . you all have a awsome program there, you all played a great game against us and won the game. all i am saying is that our QB michael navarro is back and his stats are awsome the past two weeks; and we have jerod adams back at receiver catching everything navarro is throwing to him . we are a stronger team right now.

I didn't take it as disrespect at all!!:p As a matter of fact, I was just happy to see us in some pics and when I was typing, "hey..that's us" it occurred to me that we actually won that game!!

I don't doubt Seminole is a stronger team. We've been in a similar situation most of the year. I don't doubt the young men from Seminole will show up and play. I also mean no disrespect when I say Brownwood will show up and play as well. Our defense has been hitting on all cylinders for the past few weeks. They will be ready tomorrow night. Brownwood takes this one. The only question is by how much? :D
