Congratulations Pirates! What a great job by freshman Keith Garcia and we got him for three more years after this. :)

Both teams played well in spite of the rain. The muddy field obviously hurt the Pearsall running attack to a certain extent and I know we dropped some balls we shouldn't have but that happens with a wet ball at times.

I went to the game when the weatherman said the rains were going north but boy was he all wet on this one (pun intended). But I am glad he got it wrong because I don't know if I would have gone knowing I was going to get dreanched like that which is extra rough on an old man. I was treated to a great game by good fine teams and it was worth it.

Great game Sinton. This game deserved to go to OT, that would have been awesome but oh well. In all my years going to HS football games this one by far was the wildest. When that rain came down it was unbelieveable. Never seen anything like that. I don't know how those kids did it but it was amazing.

It wasn't pretty, but it was FUN! :D There was no hiding from the rain, so I was soaked 2-3 minutes into the game. Stood the entire half and kept yelling & shaking my helmet noise maker. :D

On to round 3....

Congrats to Pearsall on a great season and a good game.

Awesome game!:clap: Did you notice that the Sinton Pirates and Pearsall Mavericks did the scene from Season 1 of "Friday Night Lights" when it was pouring cats and dogs in the Dillon Semifinal game :D :D
