I just got a call from my daughter in law...my granddaughter was running fever yesterday, and just generally felt crappy.....today, she is running fever and is barely moving....I am headed to the ER right now.

You've got 'em, RM! I've already sent a prayer, and will continue to send prayers. Both my daughters were sick last week, and I had to take off a couple days to sit with 'em. They tested negative for flu, some kinda virus going around, which was a big relief. If that virus is all it is, they should be fine in about 2-3 days.

Keep us posted, please.

She is in my prayers.... :(
It's hard watching a baby go thru this. When my baby Bug was 10 mo. old back in Febuary she was put in the hospital with the flu, it was a very tough week until she started to smile for us again.
The Midland West Campus Hospital has a great pedi care staff.

"Kissa" and her mom are still at the ER waiting for the test results. She was acting like she felt a little better when I left.

I think she has traumatized the medical staff...lol. They had to catheterize her and it took 6 of us to hold her down, with her fighting us every single second.

When it came time for the blood test, they wrapped her in a sheet and just left her arm hanging out.....they did the flu swab when she was still in her strait jacket.:p

The nurse told me, "In 32 years of nursing I have NEVER seen a 2 y/o put up a fight like she did......she might have a career as a screamer in horror flicks."

I try to tell people how rambunctious she is, but unless you are around her for a bit, she just looks like she would just be a nice sweet little girl!!!

Thanks for the prayers, the nurses didn't seem too overly concerned and the only time we saw the doctor, Kelissa ordered her "OUT!"

hehe good. This is encouraging news. Hope she continues to "fight" and kick whatever she has in the butt!

GO KISSA!

Sorry I'm on so late but you know you have my prayers for her.
If she has H1N1 she will feel good some and really bad some if she follows what my little Lucas did. He tested neg, on the first test and less that 48 hrs. later tested positive.

I'm hoping she is already on the upswing. Sounds like a fighter for sure. ;) But look who she's kin to.:D

The tests all came negative, just a viral infection that will run it's course!!

She seems almost back to normal.....extremely fussy though!!

Thanks again for all the thoughts and prayers!!

Keep a close watch.....I know you will...but the flu virus slips up in the second test a lot it seems.

I will not forget her in my prayers the next few days. :)
