SAVING THE BEST FOR LAST

Matt Santos and the Poteet Aggies had nothing to play for but pride Friday night against Marion, but the running back and his offensive lineman made the best of it. Santos rolled up an area season-high 439 yards rushing on 22 carries. He scored four touchdowns covering 80, 2, 75 and 88 yards.

In the same game, Marion receiver Nathan DeHoyos set a new season-high for receiving yards, hauling in 13 passes for 210 yards. He scored one touchdown on a 6-yard toss from quarterback Derek Pierce.
