Don Canyon ran for two touchdowns and passed for another as Lincoln (12-4A) survived a scare from Adamson (11-4a) with a 28-20 victory in a bi-district playoff game at Kincaide Stadium. Adamsom scored with 0:16 remaining on a 10 yard pass from Victor Garcia to Derek Victor and recovered the ensuing on side kick but Garcia, who completed his last seven passes in a row, was sacked on the next play as time ran out.
Adamson (4-7) shocked Lincoln (10-1), in the first quarter by taking a 14-6 lead when Airron Cowthran turned the opening kickoff 92 yards for a score and Qwaii Clark picked off a deflective Lincoln pass and returned it 27 yards for a touchdown. Demarcus Busby, led all rushers with 155 yards, countered with a 62 yard scoring run.
Lincoln took the lead for good in the second quarter when Canyon ran for a score and threw a 30 yard touchdown pass to Dominic Thompson to make it 21-14 at halftime.
Cowthran led Adamson with 73 yards rushing. It was Lincoln's 10th consective victory
