S'water enrollment at 530? What was their enrollment back when they were 4A?

Since Abilene agreed to sell them water (what water!?) the coal fired power plant in Sweetwater will probably happen...and if it does then their school numbers should rise a bit. I don't know if they will get back to 4A numbers though..

The 530 SHSBulldog has is wrong. It is 598. I have no idea what it was back in 4A.

I feel you Sweetwater,thats where Monahans has had their enrollment for 20 yrs.It's gonna be hard to compete when they keep moving up the enrollment letting them 4A city teams in 3A.Back in 1988 when we was 4A our was 604 and we was in 4a

My hometown is drying up. Just a little over 100 turned in. Used to be a good sized 2a.

rumor is the 4a/5a cut may be about 2300....that will move up the 3a number a bit so some smaller 4As may move down and make 3A pretty interesting....

Back in the '70s Sweetwater's enrollment was usually in the 800 to 900 range. If I remember correctly the enrollment was in the low 700s in the early part of this decade. 598 seems a little low considering the town is supposed to have grown due to the wind farm. :thinking:
