Region II Bi-District GotW: Lovejoy (9-1) vs. Wills Point (9-1)

Lovejoy has played a soft schedule and lost to Farmersville; Wills Point has also played a soft schedule but their loss looks a little better (brownsboro).

Both of these teams improved considerably; Wills Point has been here before while Lovejoy has only existed for two. Wills Point should be the favorite but Lovejoy is ready.

I think Lovejoy will pull this one out if they have a healthy Blake Martin. Should be a close high scoring game as both offenses are pretty potent. I would give the edge to WP on defense. However, if Martin is able to go, then WP is going to have to defend both the run and pass. WP has a strong passing game, but not a good running game. I think Lovejoy will be able to defend the pass and they will score just a couple of more points than WP! I am going to say Lovejoy 38 WP 31!

Saw Lovejoy last year in the playoffs and WP this year. I give the edge to WP but not by much. Lovejoy will probably have a size advantage on the O-line vs. the WP D. Lovejoy will have trouble matching the WR's of WP and that speedy little TB. Close game I think. Lovejoy needs to run the ball and keep it away from WP's big play offense.

This should be interesting I have heard alot about Wills Point making it all of the way to the Region finals but from what I am reading here Lovejoy could be favored. Sounds like this could go either way:D Just a few more hours and someones season will end :(

The QB is accurate but the pass protection is not the best. LE has a size and speed advantage, if we limit turnovers, we should do well. Lovejoy does like to strip the ball so we will have to protect it.
