God Bless the men and women of our Armed Forces currently serving, and who have served America. Your duty, honor, and courage have kept our country strong and free.

On the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month of 1918, an armistice, or temporary cessation of hostilities, was declared between the Allied nations and Germany in the First World War, then known as "the Great War." Commemorated as Armistice Day beginning the following year, November 11th became a legal federal holiday in the United States in 1938.

Thanks to those who served

As an American citizen and family member of many who have served this great country, I humbly ask for prayers for all those that have stepped up to the plate and served this country both domestically and abroad. The sacrifices of these great men and women, and the sacrifices of those that they love are proof that this IS the greatest country in the world. Many have not received the recognition they deserve, but in my heart I thank each of you for your service and pray that you will know in your heart that you ARE a hero in many people's heart. GOD BLESS YOU ALL!!!!!!

I consider my service to have been a privilege and duty as a citizen. I will be the first to admit there is nothing quite like being shot at and missed!
