View Full Version : Cowboys @ Eagles

Cowboys 5-2, Eagles 5-2 and tied for the Division lead. Both teams are playing better right now and this looks to be a real head-knocker tonight. Of course, the game is in Philly, and the Eagles have the boost from those super high-brow, classy Eagle fans and, Oh, I almost forgot---their biggest worshiper---Keith7.

I think the Cowboys have turned the corner and win this one by 7 on the back of the "D".

Go Cowboys! Beat those Dirty Birds......

I heard the Cowboys fitted Roy Williams with a clear visor and a heads-up display that had the routes on it, and a dotted line showing where the ball would be going. :D

In all honesty though......IF the Cowboys are to win this game.....someone needs to send Garrett a memo informing him that he's got a great backfield....and to RUN THE FREAKIN BALL!!! This crap of Romo trying to force the ball 800,000 times a game is for the birds....and I'm not even a Cowboys fan!!!!

just passionate is all.. Philly fans expect excellence but obviously dont always get it so its frustrating.. I remember my first time following a game while on an Eagles message board, they were done with the game after the first drive and I couldn't believe it.. I think the players there understand the fans and can't really hold it against them

Why have the Cowboys abandon the running game the last couple of weeks??!! I'm perplexed.

Anyone got any ideas as to why they've chosen to do this?

Honestly though...call me a conspiracy theorist...but I HAVE to wonder if Jones has SOMETHING to do w/ the idiotic play calling and flat out refusal to run the ball in some sort of silly attempt to curb the loss of fan support for his beloved Romo recently. (Let's give Romo abundant opportunities to be the hero...). It's the ONLY thing I can think of......why else would Garrett suddenly just abandon what up until now has been a pretty potent rushing attack?

Who knows though. (shrug)

If you're running the ball effectively and picking up 3, 4 or 5 yards a carry on first down, why in the H--- would you throw the ball the next 2 downs and then have to punt the ball??
I was always told "Run it till they stop it".  If they stop the run then throw the ball. Throw for5 then run for 5. I'd like to see them run the ball (just because they have the talent in triplequet) 4 straight times!! Just once!!!

Dallas is 6th in rushing yards and 6th in rushing attempts this year going into tonight.

Because Philly would have scored a guaranteed 7 more if the refs had changed the spot???

Perhaps you should be more upset with the two interceptions by McNabb or the inability of Philadelphia to convert on several short yardage situations or the poor clock management and waste of timeouts by the head coach.

and i just watched it a 3rd time. Original marker on the field had it JUST PAST the "beak" of the logo. When they showed a reverse angle when Donovan's elbow was down, ball was still within the logo. Sorry Keith. You fail again. Get mad at the Philly D and tell them and your offense to turn down the SUCK.

Eagles next 5 opponents:

Chargers away
Bears away
Redskins home
Atlanta away
Giants away

They better bring it the next few weeks or they won't make the playoffs...

Bears and Skins are the best opportunities...you never know, they could get hot. They have the talent.

I dont think anyone but Andy Reed thought that was a good idea. What was he expecting to accomplish?
I guess the Dallas D got in his head and made him stupid for a minute.

Bad decision, if Akers would of missed the FG, Dallas would of had great field position. With Philly not having any timeouts, it should of been an easy call to go on 4th down.

What teams do you think the Eagles lose to?? Maybe the Chargers just because its a trip to the west coast but the rest of the games should be easy money

That was a hold and the ruling on the field has to stand if it is inconclusive and you cannot see donovans other arm and when and where it went down so you cannot overturn the ruling on the field because the camera could not see it. simple stoof. And that hold was a takedown. Guy had has arm around him and pulled him down.

It's week 8, talk to me in 5 weeks, after the Egirls have logged enough frequent flyer miles to take their families to Disney World the 2nd week in January since their season will be over.

There is no easy money in the NFL...well unless you are Ryan Leaf.

I must say I'll savor every minute of this victory. There's nothing sweeter than to beat those Sheagles, or Eagirls, or Eaglettes, they call a football team up there in that hell-hole called Philadelphia. I can't say I blame their fans one bit for being the bitterest and the least classy sore losers that they are. After all, how long has it been since the Eagirls have won a title? Oh, wait.......... they haven't!

The Cowboys are always good in November last time i checked. They need to show it in December for people to make a big deal and over react about this W and say they are now super bowl contenders.
