LSU up 7-0 halfway through the 2nd quarter.

Bama only has 2 touchdowns in the past 3 games combined so they could be in trouble if LSU scores again LOL

Let's go Tigers!
Oh, and Iowa sucks.

After watching Texas/UCF earlier...neither of these teams looks all that great to me. Sorry to the SEC homer here (can't remember his username) but Texas would beat either of these two teams.

I can't believe Julio Jones hasn't caught a Touchdown in 16 games! I feel for the guy, McElroy just missed him again in the redzone.

7-3 now with 6 minutes left in the half.

Both these teams defenses would give Colt a hard time. And no running game for Texas would be interesting against these defenses. But, I think Texas' defense is as good if not better than both LSU and BAMA.

It's a toss up. Let's not get this thread turned into a SEC and Big 12 pissing match. It's SEC only LOL

how can you compare a game with 2 of the top defenses with a Texas/UCF game. Texas will be exposed in the NC game no doubt.

I love that Bama is throwing the ball around more with McElroy like they did earlier in the year.

HORRIBLE call on the pass interference.
And even worse pass on the next play by McElroy.

7-3 at the half.

i know what you mean on the PI call. The ball landed out of bounds and in no way was catchable

He barely even touched Julio Jones.
SEC referees suck.

To me, Alabama's offense looks just pitiful Julio Jones is a great player, and they run the ball ok, but they can't score. That was a lucky break to spring Jones on the last TD. I think someone with a good offense that can throw everything at Alabama for several quarters would definitely give them problems. None of the SEC teams that I have seen other than Florida really have a good offense. I think Utah exposed that last year.

Alabama's offense really isn't that good. But that speaks volumes to how incredible their defense is.

I'll be glad when defenses figure out how to stop the Wildcat, and I think they eventually will. I hate it.

HORRIBLE CALL ON LSU INT!
IT WAS CLEARLY A CATCH:confused:

ziggy29
11-07-2009, 06:57 PM
SEC officials have Bama's back again. That was an interception.

In the age of the BCS, officials should be employed by the NCAA, not a specific conference. There's way too much conflict of interest when a team for the BCS title hunt is playing late in a season.

BIG TIME HOMER CALL:o

oh my god, as an LSU fan I ask what else can go wrong? Scott and Jefferson get hurt and that was clearly an INT

Daddy D 11

Jesus that was a horrible call.

How many times can the SEC refs blow calls?

I'm sick and tired of watching Bama get every break in the book. Unless it's an obvious penalty against them, no ref will ever call it.

Les Miles is going to get fined for bashing the refs after this game I'm sure.

forum_guy
11-07-2009, 07:00 PM
If Miles wouldn't have went for 2 so damn early they would only be down one score right now

SEC officiating yet again gives the game to an undefeated team in the BCS championship hunt. Lane Kiffin was right, I think.

As many times as it takes to keep Alabama and Florida undefeated headed into the SEC championship game.

Daddy D 11
11-07-2009, 07:04 PM
And they miss another obvious call.

ziggy29
11-07-2009, 07:04 PM
And now the Bama guy who gets the sack blatantly rips the face mask of an LSU lineman and gets no call.

But earlier in the game on 4th down, the LSU tackle BARELY, BARELY flinches and the refs see that! But not this....

I'm hoping this season makes the NCAA realize that in this day and age with the BCS money in play, officials should not be under conference control any more.

I have no clue how they did not rule that a pick. Well the SEC got what they wanted with a Florida/Alabama championship game. Maybe the calls will start to normal out now...doubt it:rolleyes:

you can make that statement correct by saying SEC refs. You gotta love SEC football though. But really as an LSU fan the only call im mad about is the INT.

He had BOTH feet down. And position when the first foot hit the ground. It had every single thing it needed to be overturned.

There is a high possibility it could happen. Alabama and Florida can both stop the run and Texas is already one dimensional to begin with.

Alabama and Florida can stop the run? Darn, Texas just relies so heavily on the run. That's going to kill Texas if they can't run the ball..

Basically im refering to Texas being a one dimensional team. I dont hate Texas I am just saying that eventually in the NC game they arent going to be able to throw for 400 yards and not have to run the ball.

Both Florida and Bama are one dimensional, they run about 80% of the time and that is Texas' strong point. I could see the SEC champ and Texas play to a 10-7 NC game with Texas winning.

Your right..but sorry I dont see Bama or UFA putting alot of points on Texas either. So IMO it would be a low scoring game and special teams will play a big part..and I like Texas's special teams

I just think they can throw the ball on those 2 defenses enough to where mixing in the run here and there will be all that's needed. Colt can sling it with the best of them, I just don't see either of those 2 SEC teams secondary stopping Colt. Now their Defensives Lines will probably dominate the Tx line, which could cause a few problems. But, Texas won't need to score that much considering no one has or is going to be able to move the ball against Texas' defense.

Started out look good and then went downhill. Starting qb jefferson and rb Scott get hurt and then the horrible call at the end with that INT. Excuses aside they did let Julio Jones go 70+ for a td at the end when it counted.

Texas can run the football, they avg 155 yds a game, they pass for 261 yds game...that is not absurdly unbalanced. The running game just isn't as consistent as the passing game.

Whoever goes to the NC against the SEC is going to be the underdog. I would much rather see Texas play against Florida than Alabama. BTW the defensive rankings are as follows:

1 TCU 235.8 (1886/8)
2 Florida 236.6 (1893/8)
3 Alabama 240.9 (1927/8)
4 Texas 242.0 (1936/8)
5 Penn State 254.8 (2293/9)

Texas can compete and will not be exposed. Weren't they also picked to lose against USC in 2005? It is going to be a battle...

IF Texas makes it, the NC game might be alot like the Texas-OK game imo too.
Good point.
