+1 for Burnet. Could be a good game, but Burnet has too much.

Looking forward to next week, what does a Gatesville/Burkburnett or a Burnet/Burkburnett matchup look like?

I can see Burk's option game giving both of those teams some fits, but think that Burk will struggle with deep threats of both of those schools.

If Burk can strike quick in the option game, it could turn into a high-scoring affair. In their last 4 games, they have posted point totals of 48, 55, 48, and 49.

Any word as to when and where that game will be played? What about a radio broadcast?

One team having to play and the other getting a bye is not quite right. Not saying I could come up with a better way, just saying!

I won't argue with you there, but at the last alignment, rather than have some 4-team districts, UIL only put 28 districts in 3A, and kept the playoff brackets the same.

In Region I, there is no district 6. That means that district 5 doesn't have anyone to play in the first round, and receives a bye.

I guess there are positives and negatives associated to the extra week off. While it gives you an extra week for any injuries to heal, the week off could potentially cause you to lose some of your sharpness.

Burkburnett has scored at least 48 points in each of its last 4 games. They are peaking at the right time. Their challenge it to keep that momentum going, even with an extra week off.
